Service Terms / Client Agreement

These Service Terms outline the agreement between Wigan SEO and any client purchasing digital marketing services through https://www.wiganseo.co.uk.
By engaging Wigan SEO for services, the client agrees to these terms.
Throughout this document, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Wigan SEO, and “client” refers to the individual or business purchasing services.
- Scope of Services
Wigan SEO provides digital marketing and search engine optimisation services including but not limited to:
- Search engine optimisation (SEO)
- Local SEO services
- Technical SEO audits
- WordPress SEO optimisation
- Content optimisation and strategy
- Keyword research and SEO strategy
- Website performance improvements
- Pay-per-click advertising consulting
Specific services, deliverables, and timelines will be defined in individual proposals, agreements, or communications prior to work commencing.
- Project Commencement
Work will only begin once the following conditions are met:
- A service scope has been agreed
- Payment terms have been accepted
- Required access to relevant platforms has been provided where necessary
Delays in providing required access, information, or materials may delay project timelines.
- Client Responsibilities
To ensure the successful delivery of services, the client agrees to:
- Provide accurate business information
- Supply necessary website access and account permissions
- Respond to communication in a timely manner
- Approve work or provide feedback when requested
- Ensure they have legal rights to any content or materials supplied
Failure to provide required access or cooperation may impact results or timelines.
- Payment Terms
Payment terms will be outlined in the agreed proposal or invoice.
Unless otherwise agreed:
- Payments must be made within the timeframe stated on the invoice
- Ongoing services may be billed monthly
- Late payments may result in service suspension until payment is received
All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Contract Duration
Some services may operate on a monthly basis or fixed-term agreement.
If a minimum contract term applies, this will be specified before services begin.
Monthly services typically renew automatically unless cancelled according to the cancellation terms.
- Cancellation and Termination
Clients may cancel ongoing services by providing written notice.
The notice period will be outlined in the agreed service proposal or invoice.
Wigan SEO reserves the right to terminate services if:
- Payment is not received
- The client breaches these terms
- The client engages in illegal or unethical practices
In the event of termination, any completed work up to that point will remain payable.
- SEO Results Disclaimer
Search engine optimisation and digital marketing performance cannot be guaranteed.
Search rankings and website traffic are influenced by many factors outside our direct control, including:
- Search engine algorithm updates
- Competitor activity
- Website technical limitations
- Market competition
- Changes in search engine policies
For this reason, Wigan SEO cannot guarantee specific rankings, traffic increases, or business outcomes.
- Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed, all strategies, methodologies, documentation, and internal processes developed by Wigan SEO remain our intellectual property.
Content or materials created specifically for the client may be used by the client once payment has been completed.
We reserve the right to reference completed work in marketing materials or case studies unless agreed otherwise.
- Access to Platforms and Accounts
Where services require access to third-party platforms such as:
- Google Analytics
- Google Search Console
- Google Ads
- Website hosting or CMS platforms
- WordPress administration
The client is responsible for granting appropriate access.
We are not responsible for issues caused by third-party platforms or services.
- Confidentiality
Both parties agree to treat confidential information with care.
This includes business data, marketing strategies, account credentials, and proprietary processes.
Confidential information will not be shared with third parties without permission unless required by law.
- Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wigan SEO will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of our services.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Loss of profits
- Loss of revenue
- Loss of business opportunities
- Website downtime
- Changes in search engine rankings
The client acknowledges that digital marketing results vary and cannot be guaranteed.
- Third-Party Services
Some services may involve third-party platforms such as:
- Search engines
- Advertising networks
- Website hosting providers
- Marketing tools
Wigan SEO has no control over these platforms and cannot guarantee their availability, performance, or policies.
- Changes to Services
We reserve the right to modify service methods, tools, or strategies where necessary to adapt to:
- Search engine algorithm changes
- Technology updates
- Industry developments
Any significant changes affecting the service scope will be communicated to the client.
- Governing Law
These Service Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising from services provided by Wigan SEO will fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
